The Outdoors Section of Houston Chronicle featured story called "Hidden Treasures: Trio of rivers in Hill Country has much to offer" by Shannon Tompkins. Local Uvalde fishing guide Aaron Riggins gave fishing tips for the Sabinal, Frio, and Nueces Rivers.

The March 2004 issue of Texas Outdoors Journal similarly featured a two column write up on fishing the three rivers in their Texas Roundup section, and similarly mentions Aaron Riggins. He has been encouraged to give monthly fishing information, as well as some printed information on his services.
