FYI: A brand new rest area has been built 4 miles EAST of Sabinal, Texas on Highway 90. Beautiful stone buildings and covered picnic areas. I was told by a DOT official at the dedication that "self contained RVs were allowed overnight parking".

Be sure to stop in Sabinal on Highway 90 for gas, groceries, shop antiques, uniques, local art and wonderful hand made furniture. Turn north at the red light to go to Garner Sate Park, Lost Maples and Concan. Stop and visit Brown's Pharmacy and Gifts downtown. Sit at the old fashioned soda fountain for delicious lunch specials and souvenirs.
